Robert Webber Overview:

Actor, Robert Webber, was born Robert L. Webber on Oct 14, 1924 in Santa Ana, CA. Webber died at the age of 64 on May 19, 1989 in Malibu, CA .

This handsome, smooth dark-haired American actor began his careers as a leading man, but seemed to prefer character roles, often turning up as plausible charmers or executives with feet of clay. He began acting in the US Marines during his war service, but didn't settle in films until the mid-1960s, appearing in fare such as 1965's The Sandpiper and 1967's The Dirty Dozen. Although he has been said to prefer playing the antagonist, he also has shown a penchant for fairly broad range of comedy.

Robert Webber Quotes:

Dwight Troy: [about Fay Estabrook] Why are you interested in an old bag of worms like her?
Lew Harper: She's not an old bag of worms. She's the sexiest thing I ever seen.
Dwight Troy: Well I disagree, but then, you see, I am married to Miss Estabrook and I know whereof I speak. Hey, don't get me wrong, sport, I am not the jealous type. You want her, you can have her!

William B. 'Bill' Phillips: [to Lee] Don't dance with strangers or talk to anyone with a mustache.
