Miles Mander Overview:

Character actor, Miles Mander, was born Lionel Mander on May 14, 1888 in Wolverhampton, England. Mander died at the age of 57 on Feb 8, 1946 in Hollywood, CA and was laid to rest in Ocean View Burial Park Cemetery in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.

MIINI BIO:

Miles Mander was a stocky, British actor-manager with military bark, plus the mustache and bearing to match. He entered films after World War I (he was an aviator), often playing mustache-twirling villains, appropriately billed as Luther Miles. He became a jack of all trades in the 1920s -- acting, writing, producing and directing. Mander went to Hollywood in 1935 and was heavily in demand for foxy character parts, mostly in second-feature thrillers. He died at age 57 from a heart attack.
