John Kellogg Quotes:

Sgt. Ward: Apples.
Windy: What'd you say, Sergeant?
Sgt. Ward: [surprised] Guess I said 'apples.'
Windy: Why?
Sgt. Ward: Just thinkin' of 'em.
Windy: Oh.
Riddle: What kind of apples, sergeant?
Sgt. Ward: All kinds. Baldwnis, McIntosh, Reds, Pippins, Russets... I was thinkin' I'd like to be cuttin' one open, right now. And lickin' that juice off the knife.
Riddle: Cut it out, willya, Sarge?
[grinning]
Riddle: Now ya got me thinking about something juicy.

John Kellogg Facts
The "V" stood for Vernon.

While keeping his surname fixed, Kellogg was very changeable about his first and middle names and initials. Back in the late 1930s, when he began seeking work as an actor, he was known as "Giles Kellogg" and "Giles V. Kellogg" (in "Academy Players Directory" and acting on Broadway). Later, once he began getting regular film acting jobs, he changed to "John Kellogg" and "John G. Kellogg." Clearly, the "G." stood for "Giles," but it's unknown what the "V." stood for.
