Black-haired, ruddy-cheeked, cheerful-looking American comic actor, writer, and director. From the beginning of sound, he cropped up in dozens of "excitable" cameo roles, almost all of them characterized by his raising fluttering hands, doing a double-take and crying "Woo Woo!" Brought a touch of farcical anarchy to nearly everything he tackled. Died from a heart attack.
