George Harrison asked him to be in The Beatles' first films because George's mother loved Victor's work and George said to Victor, "Me mum will only go to see them if you're in them".

Appeared in the first three films of The Beatles (A Hard Day's Night (1964), Help! (1965) and Magical Mystery Tour (1967) (TV)).

Hiw award-winning stage work in "Oh! What a Lovely War" was caught by The Beatles in 1963, who came back stage and asked Victor to appear in their movie A Hard Day's Night (1964).

Toured America promoting his roles in the The Beatles' films when they were released on DVD.

Won Broadway's 1965 Tony Award as Best Supporting or Featured Actor (Musical) for "Oh, What a Lovely War."
