Co-stars Grant Withers and Loretta Young fell in love during the making of this film and eloped. Withers was 26 years old, Young was 17. Warner Brothers took advantage of the subsequent scandal by changing the name of the next film in which they were to star from "Broken Dishes" to Too Young to Marry.

In a separately filmed trailer, Vitaphone production reel #3958, Grant Withers and Loretta Young tell the audience about the film.

This film was unseen for many years after its original release. Like other Warner Brothers films of the early talkie era, the movie's soundtrack was recorded onto Vitaphone disks, but the disks for this film were lost for decades. The soundtrack was eventually recovered and restored to the film in 2004.
