One daughter, Patricia Kirkland Bevan (1925-2000). She was married to playwright Donald Bevan, author of the play on which the film Stalag 17 (1953) was based.

One of her hobbies was painting.



Sister of Terry Carroll, who appeared with her in one film.

The play in which she was starring when she unexpectedly died and failed to show up for the evening performance, was "Never Too Late" at the Mineola Playhouse on Long Island. (She was found in her hotel room.) She was playing the role of the pregnant wife created on Broadway and on screen by Maureen O'Sullivan.
