The exploding piano gag is reused in 1957's Show Biz Bugs, where it was tried on Bugs by Daffy Duck with a xylophone, using the same tune and with the same result.
The original cartoon finished with Bugs and Sam playing a game of Russian Roulette after they find out they both lost the election.
