Daughter of Waldo Salt and actress Mary Davenport.

Longtime friend of Jill Clayburgh. They met at Sarah Lawrence College, where both were students.

Mother of Jonah Greenberg, talent agent with CAA Beijing.

Stepdaughter of writer Eve Merriam.



Very close friend of legendary screenwriter John Milius.

Was a good friend of Janet Margolin. According to an interview with Janet Margolin, she and Jennifer began a two-woman catering business during a short break from acting. Woody Allen used that business as the inspiration for the Stanislavsky Catering Company in Hannah and Her Sisters (1986).

Was roommates with Margot Kidder in the early 1970s.
