The budding romance between socialite Melanie Daniels (Tippi Hedren) and dashing lawyer Mitch (Rod Taylor) is interrupted when the local bird population starts attacking humans en masse, wreaking havoc across Bodega Bay. Plus, Melanie has Mitch's possessive mother (Jessica Tandy) to deal with.
