Hugh Herbert Overview:

Character actor, Hugh Herbert, was born on Aug 10, 1884 in Binghamton, NY. Herbert died at the age of 67 on Mar 12, 1952 in North Hollywood, CA .

Black-haired, ruddy-cheeked, cheerful-looking American comic actor, writer, and director. From the beginning of sound, he cropped up in dozens of "excitable" cameo roles, almost all of them characterized by his raising fluttering hands, doing a double-take and crying "Woo Woo!" Brought a touch of farcical anarchy to nearly everything he tackled. Died from a heart attack.
