Pieces of history from Walt Disney Studios will soon be on display for the public at the Collecting Disney exhibition and auction.

Baby shoes from Walt Disney Studios inspired by the film "Bambi."

The presentation includes more than 700 rare and never-seen-before items issued by the studio and its iconic movies, launching Wednesday at Van Eaton Galleries in Sherman Oaks, Calif. The auction is set for June 18.

A pair of diving boots from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" and shoes inspired by "Bambi" are among the items up for bids.

The original screen-used footwear from Disney's 1954 film "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" are 11-pound authentic diving boots, valued between $200 and $400. A pair of "Bambi" baby shoes released by the studio during the 1950s, intended as a nursery room accessory, is valued between $100 and $200.

Among the collection's highlights are an original score for the first song written about Mickey Mouse (estimate: $15,000 to $20,000); early drawings, vintage toys, artwork and props from Disney films.

A portion of the auction funds will benefit the Annette Funicello Research Fund for Neurological Diseases.
