One of over 700 Paramount productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since.
Feature film debut of Mae West. George Raft (Joe Anton) also appeared with her in her final film, Sextette.
George Raft was initially upset with co-star Mae West's acting in this film, later telling the studio that her performance had stolen "everything but the cameras".
