Angels in the Outfield (1951) was a Fantasy - Comedy Film directed by Clarence Brown and produced by Clarence Brown.

SYNOPSIS

Douglas shines as Guffy McGovern, the most hard-hearted, foul-mouthed, dictatorial baseball manager in the league. His Pittsburgh Pirates are in seventh place and getting worse. Then he hears a voice telling him to "look for a miracle in the third inning." Scores of stars from baseball and Hollywood in cameo appearances join the angels who give the Pirates a lift. Remade in 1994.
