Unconquered Overview:

Unconquered (1947) was a Adventure - Drama Film directed by Cecil B. DeMille and produced by Cecil B. DeMille.

The film was based on the novel Unconquered, a Novel of the Pontiac Conspiracy written by Neil H. Swanson published in 1947.

SYNOPSIS

DeMille's typically grandiose version of early colonial days was an extremely expensive ($5 million) bust, but with Cooper and Goddard in the leads it makes an enjoyable watch. Militia officer Cooper vies with evil da Silva for indentured servant Goddard's contract as da Silva stirs up a war with the Seneca Indians (his in-laws). Worth seeing just to witness Karloff speaking Seneca.
