The Black Orchid (1958) was a Drama - Romance Film directed by Martin Ritt and produced by Carlo Ponti and Marcello Girosi.

SYNOPSIS

Quinn and Loren star in this bittersweet romance. Loren helped her late husband become involved in crime, and now her son has been convicted of theft and is sent to a work program. Her life begins to take a new course when she meets and falls in love with Quinn, a simple businessman. Their children have different ideas about the budding romance. An early outing for director Ritt.
