Facts about

The iconoscope was a real device, invented by Vladimir K. Zworykin, which was the most commonly used television camera tube at the time that this film was made.
Experimental television station W6XYZ, located on the Paramount Studios lot in Hollywood, received a construction permit from the Federal Communications Commission in 1939. It went on the air in 1942. In 1947 it was licensed for commercial broadcasting as KTLA.
One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since.
