Abbott and Costello were big radio stars when they made this, their debut film. Their voices are heard before they appear on screen.

At one point in production the film was titled "Riviera" but the title was changed once the location shifted to the Caribbean.

Originally titled "Caribbean Holiday."

The premiere of the film was held in Patterson New Jersey, the hometown of Lou Costello.

When Realart reissued this picture in the late 1940s, some 20 minutes were cut at the expense of the plot to give Abbott and Costello proportionately more screen time.
