Early in 1938, he returned to The Saturday Evening Post. Said his $15,000 salary with the Post couldn't cover the taxes on the $100,000 he had been making in Hollywood.

Had in association with Samuel Goldwyn produced several hit movies.

Ill health forced him to take a leave of absence from the Post in June of 1938.

Several months before his death, he had been considering an offer to work for David O. Selznick.

Was for six years an associate editor of The Saturday Evening Post.



Worked as a story editor for Paramount Pictures.
