Jamboree

Jamboree

Frankie Avalon is seen here as a pre-teenager months before his breakthrough hit of "Dee Dee Dinah" was released.

Featured here is Dick Clark in his film debut as a Philadelphia DJ hosting early Rock acts, just months before "Bandstand" went network.

His musical insert made this the first motion picture appearance for Frankie Avalon.

In addition to the musical performers, this film had a number of cameo appearances by disc jockeys from across the United States, Canada and Great Britain. This insured the producers of some free radio plugs for the film upon its release.

Many top recording acts and DJs are seen here. Included are Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Buddy Knox, Jimmy Bowen, Louis Lyman (Frankie's brother) and legendary DJ and R n R impresario, "Jocko" Henderson.
