Betty Lou Gerson

Her wicked voice lending to Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians (1961) was ranked #39 on the American Film Institute's villains list of the 100 years of The Greatest Heroes and Villains.

She retired from films and television after marrying her second husband, Lou Lauria, who operated a telephone answering service in Los Angeles. She was survived by a brother and three stepchildren.

Southern-born and bred, she started working in radio in Chicago in the 1930s, soon moving east to New York City where she appeared in several radio shows and soap operas including "Mr. First Nighter" where she appeared with Don Ameche and met and married her first husband, Joe Ainley.
