In _Volga Boatman, THe (1926)_, Feodor (William Boyd) is awaiting execution when he proposes to Princess Vera (Elinor Fair). Few moviegoers had any idea that this marriage proposal was in fact real -- and Boyd was accepted.

Lived at the El Royale Apartments building, Hollywood, in 1930.

She and William Boyd fell in love while working on The Volga Boatman (1926).

She was engaged to Frank Clarke briefly before eloping with second husband Thomas Daniels. Both men were aviators.

Suffered from alcoholism.



With husband, actor William Boyd, Elinor had a baby daughter who died in infancy.
