Event Details

Former detective Nick Charles and his playful, heiress wife, Nora, decide to investigate a murder case-mostly for the fun of it. After Nick looks for clues with Nora and their talented terrier, Asta, Nick decides that the best way to solve the case is to invite all the suspects to dinner. What happens next? Join Film Historian Annette Bochenek in this month's installment of the "Hometowns to Hollywood" film series for a tribute to Myrna Loy, and a discussion of her early years in Helena, Montana. The discussion will be followed by a screening of the hilarious 1934 classic, The Thin Man, starring William Powell and Myrna Loy.

The screening is from 2-4 p.m. on Fri., Nov. 4. This is a FREE screening, which will take place at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library in Arlington Heights, IL. The screening will be on the second floor in the Hendrickson room.

Popcorn will be served and a raffle will follow the show.

See you there!
