In 1948, at the height of her fame, Hayworth left Hollywood, broke her contract with Columbia, and became a real-life princess when she married Prince Aly Khan unfortunately, her marriage did not last but neither did her retirement. AFFAIR IN TRINIDAD was her comeback feature and it proved to be a big success. In it, Hayworth starts as a nightclub singer whose husband apparently commits suicide but, when his brother (Ford) comes to town, the two uncover clues that point to murder.
