After playing little girls in LITTLE ANNIE ROONEY ('25) and SPARROWS ('26), Mary Pickford felt it was time to grow up. She cut her famous curls, and made the up-to-date (circa 1927) romantic comedy MY BEST GIRL. Co-starring her future third husband Buddy Rogers, the film was Pickford's last starring silent. First on the bill is Mary in her famous D.W. Griffth-directed Biograph short THE NEW YORK HAT ('12).
