Gage County Historical Society's Gage County Classic Film Institute (GCCFI) will present a "110th Birthday Celebration of Hollywood Leading Man Robert Taylor" as its 2021 annual film event.
Robert Taylor, born Spangler Arlington Brugh, was born August 5, 1911 in Filley, Nebraska. He graduated from Beatrice High School and went on to become one of the leading men of Hollywood from 1934-1969.

GCCFI is partnering with the Beatrice Public Library and the Beatrice Community Players Theatre. Funding is provided by grants from the Hevelone Foundation and Gage County Foundation.
Friday evening, Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon events at the Beatrice Public Library, 100 N. 16th St., are free! The authors will sell and autograph books Friday evening.
Saturday's main event featuring presentations by the featured guests and a Robert Taylor film will be at Community Players, 412 Ella St. -- as well as offered via Zoom. Tickets required. Omaha film historian Bruce Crawford will moderate a Q & A panel discussion.
Note: The film "Remember" will be available for virtual viewing only in the U.S. because of licensing rights.
