  1. Ashley says:

My favorite thing about All About Eve is Bette Davis, she gives an Oscar worthy performance. Films about hollywoood always seem to be a favorite of mine.

  2. Dallas says:

    1950-great year!

  3. Tom Detrik says:

What do you love most about “All About Eve”?

    The Script!

It is probably the most articulate & intelligent ever written; the only one that equals and/or comes close (in my estimation) is “The Lion in Winter.”

There is not a single wasted word or scene.

  4. I just saw this recently and loved it! My favorite part is the end where the girl shows up and starts the whole thing over again! And Eve falls for it! KARMA!

  5. Brandy says:

I have never seen “All About Eve”. I think it would be great to see it on the big screen since it remains one of the most riveting dramas ever made. It would be great to win. Thanks for the chance. : )

  6. 1950 was a remarkable year for cinema. That said, like 2016 (La La Land), All About Eve would garner 14 Oscar nominations (winning 6); breaking the record set by Gone with the Wind (13) in 1939. It’s clear that in the Best Actress category, the fierce competition among Bette Davis and Anne Baxter, with Gloria Swanson (Sunset Boulevard) and Judy Holiday (Born Yesterday ) was probably very close. Holiday would win the statuette. In fact, All About Eve and Sunset Boulevard were scathing looks at the business of Broadway and Hollywood, respectively; so, it seems natural these two films would be natural competitors. One more item,.. In a small role, the career of Marilyn Monroe was enhanced in a delightfully humorous performance. All About Eve is a film that needs to be enjoyed on the BIG SCREEN!

  7. I would love to see All About Eve on the big screen due to it’s iconic status. Movies of this stature deserve to be seen as they were intended, and for the works of art that they are. The best thing about All About Eve is the depiction of that generational struggle, the impact upon the women that it engenders and the fierce competitiveness of the main characters that develops of necessity; it becomes intrinsic to who they are. A particular pleasure for me is seeing Marilyn Monroe in this early role. I will watch her in just about anything. Thank you for having this contest.

  8. Daniel says:

I have not yet seen All About Eve and would like to see it on the Big Screen. Why? As one of only three movies to receive 14 Academy Award nominations it has to be good, right? And what better way to see a classic film then up on the big screen. Thank you.

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh it’s definitely a good one! I can’t wait to see it on the Big Screen myself 🙂 Thanks for entering and Good Luck!

  9. Amanda says:

What I love most about All About Eve is Bette Davis playing tough, vulnerable and tender. The script is amazing. It’s so sharp and smart. You’d think the theater veterans in the film would have seen it all but almost all of them are taken in by Eve. I never get tired of seeing this film. All of the actors are wonderful in it.

  10. Heather Clarke says:

Love this movie and its play on Hollywood. Davis at her finest, and refreshing to see MM early in her career. Anne Baxter was fab!

  11. Regina says:

This is, by far, Bette Davis’ greatest performance! Also, who doesn’t love a young Marilyn Monroe?

  12. Brian E says:

I love that all the actors are of the same caliber. Everyone delivers an outstanding performance.

  13. Heather S says:

Ahhh, love this so much! What’s not to love about this film, it is ICONIC. But I especially LOVE Bette Davis. She’s brilliant in this film, absolutely brilliant!

    Bette Davis of course

Hi Paul, I can’t seem to find your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted, or let me know here if you con’t have a twitter account

  16. Christine Nelson-Rivers says:

    Bette Davis

One of her very best, and nobody else could have captured both the bravado and pathos of Margo Channing.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Christine, Can’t seem to find your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted, or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  17. Kassidy Jacobs says:

I want to see this movie on the big screen due to how iconic it is! I know that it was heavily nominated, it must be amazing. Bette Davis is stellar in absolutely every film, she never disappoints. This would be a fun way to introduce my friend to classic movies. She keeps saying they’re boring, I know I can prove her wrong by showing All About Eve! I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  18. Sue Lomauro says:

This movie is Bette Davis at her glorious best! The supporting cast is flawless and the witty dialogue is beyond compare!

  19. Shelia says:

Yeow! Psfft! Pfsst! Who doesn’t love a good cat fight? I might even get some pointers! And Bette Davis is the best at that! I say that not from having seen this terrific film but on Ms. Davis’ proven talent. So it will be wonderful to actually get a chance & will go even if I don’t win. Thanks TCM and Classic Movie Hub!

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  20. Josh G says:

You can never forget your first Bette Davis movie.

And the cast! Amazing character actors across the board, from tough-as-nails Thelma Ritter to serpentine George Sanders.

  21. George Gomez says:

Never seen it but really need to I’ve heard so much about the script and noir direction.

  22. That’s a hard question to answer….I think it’s because All About Eve is one of the few films that delivers the whole package : great acting, a very engrossing script, great cinematography, music, and wonderful direction. I especially enjoy the performances of the secondary players ( Celeste Holm, Hugh Marlowe, Gregory Ratoff, and of course, Thelma Ritter. The film is great fun!

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  23. tracy sharpe says:

Bette Davis’s performance. She is such an iconic actress, and seeing her as Margo Channing was almost bone chilling. That character alone was so powerful and so strong. The way she interacts with Eve right after her stage performace was just pure hatred and you feel every second of it. I watched this movie in my film studies class back in college, and I can understand why it was Oscar nominated 14 times, being the first movie ever to be nominated that many times was impressive. I would love to see this in the movie theater! That would be so much fun!

  24. tracy sharpe says:

I forgot to say this would be an awesome 30th birthday present! My birthday is March 19th. Seeing this in the movie theater would be a great way end my 20s.

  25. Jean Feingold says:

What I like most is that All About Eve features four incredibly talented actresses.

  26. Michael says:

Like sunset boulevard the dialogue is riveting. Sharp dressers too. Love this era

  27. Michael says:

    Love the 50’s movies

  28. pat y says:

it is a great story that is well told through an exceptional cast and brilliant direction and cinematography. these strong women tell a story that is repeated today in every profession.

  29. Elena Parker says:

What I love most about All About Eve is it’s witty and fast paced script. There are so many good lines in it, some of which you miss on first viewing, but discover more fun upon every rewatch.
It’s special to me to see classic films on the big screen; where they were meant for. I’m also looking forward to seeing Marilyn on the big screen for the first time; a special thing for me as an avid fan and historian.
Thanks for doing the giveaway and the opportunity to enter!

  30. Brandi Barnes says:

The story is fantastic and the script is phenomenal. They truly do not make films like this anymore. Having two strong female leads — true leads — in movies is virtually unheard of these days. It’s one of my all time favorites and I’d love to finally see it on the big screen….can’t imagine a better way to cap off my 44th birthday weekend!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Wow, that would be a great reason to see it! I can’t find your tweet, so please confirm that you tweeted, or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  31. Stephanie Hart says:

I’ve only seen All About Eve on the small screen, but hands down what I love about the film is it’s perfect marriage of casting, script, delivery, wardrobe, subject matter, etc. It hits it’s mark on every level, and despite every effort, not too many films do that very thing.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Stephanie, I haven’t seen your tweet yet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted, or let me know here if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  32. Jannettekutchins says:

I have always loved classic movies, and find it enjoyable to see them on the big screen via Fathom Events. I have not seen “All About Eve”. I like the plot and it’s high time I add it to my classic film list!

Thank you for the opportunity to win this giveaway.

  33. Laura Medina says:

I love seeing Bette Davis at her bitchy best! She is the original Queen B! This would also be the first time my daughter has seen this movie (I know bad parenting!) and seeing it on the big screen would be the best introduction! We just saw “An Affair to Remember” last night here in Chicago and it was as magnificent as seeing “Singing in the Rain” was on the big screen as it was meant to be. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy these wonderful movies again!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Laura, I haven’t seen your tweet yet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted, or let me know here if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  34. “All About Eve” is one of my all-time favorites because the underhanded, witty comments are so deliciously wicked! George Sanders is superb and Bette Davis is the only person who could ever bring that life to Margo. Even if I don’t win, I am going to the theater, and I am taking my sister, who hasn’t seen it before.

  35. Kylene Grell says:

I loce every single thing about About Alk About Eve but George Sanders is the best part for ne. I adore him! I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh he is fabulous in that one (and just about everything else he’s in)… Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  36. andyinsdca says:

It was directed to be seen on the big screen, not a puny 42″ (or even 72″) TV at home!

  37. Tatiana Bustamante says:

I would love to win tickets to All About Eve so I could take my Mom. Bette Davis is her all time favourite classic film star. My Mom has never seen her on the big screen and I know she would enjoy it. I’ve never seen this film so I too would also very much enjoy it 🙂

  38. Amanda G says:

All About Eve was one of the first films I watched when I started getting into classic films. It’s character and script driven and this IS Bette Davis’ film. It’s like it was written specifically for her. This is one of the greatest films ever made and the fact that Bette is the lead – an actual female lead with depth – is special. If there’s one film out of the ones that’ll be airing in theaters this year, All About Eve is #1 for me!

    + just tweeted! 🙂

  39. Amarillys Romero says:

I don’t think I really have a favorite thing about All About Eve! I favor the film as a whole. You have great performances, particularly from the glorious Bette Davis, you have such a well written script with memorable lines, a good story & you gotta love Margo’s iconic dress during the party! Seeing this beautifully done film on the big screen would sure be a treat!!! 🙂

  40. Sonja Vandertuuk says:

Bette Davis…she is Fantastic!! Can’t wait to see it on the big screen!!

  41. Susan McClure says:

I do not have a Twitter account so I am posting my answer here as I can’t see Twitter. I have never seen the movie but my mom loved it so I want to see it in her honor as she always wanted me to see it.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh it’s a good one, and what a wonderful reason to want to see it… Isn’t it wonderful how such warm memories are wrapped around these films… Thank you so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  42. Mary Scandin says:

I do not have a Twitter account and entering the contest. Of course, the one favorite part is the put your seat belt on it’s going to be a bumpy night. But it was also the end when another youngster comes in for Eve.

  43. Brenda Ritz says:

Bette Davis is what I love most!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

  46. Jean Lohrius says:

I love Bette David films. This is one of my favorites. I think everyone has an Eve in their life trying to take their place. It explores adult problems. Some great lines such as Fastern your seatbelts we’re in for snippy ride which I’m sure I misquoted. I would love to see this on the big screen. I do not have a twitter account.

  47. I have yet to see this movie, but Bette Davis was a great actress and I’ve seen some of her other work. I also remember Carol Burnett doing a parody of it on her show.
I don’t have a Twitter account,so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh gosh, I haven’t seen the Carol Burnett clip in ages! I’ll have to look for it on YouTube… Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hopefully your friend will ‘convert’ 🙂 It’s such a great flick and will probably be wonderful on the Big Screen. Thanks for entering and Good Luck!

  49. Rose says:

My favorite thing about the film is that it’s a timeless story, and of course Bette Davis who made the film be as good as it is. I really hope to win because seeing one of my all time favorites on the big screen would be a dream come true.

  50. Annmarie Gatti says:

Entering on behalf of Susan who said: “I never saw the movie and seeing it on the big screen would be the perfect time. “

  51. Peter Reckling says:

What do you love most about “All About Eve”? And, if you haven’t seen it, why do you want to see it on the Big Screen? I love the story behind “All About Eve”, it’s classic and timeless and something I can watch over and over again! This movie is truly one of my favorites, and makes me emotional every time! I would love to take my friend, as he’s never seen and so dreadfully wants to, as our favorite past time is taking each other to classic films of yesteryear! It’s a truly wonderful movie and I’d love to go with my friend and let him experience it in the same way I first experienced “All About Eve”, on the glorious silver screen, as it was meant to be.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Peter, I can’t seem to find your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted, or please let me know here if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  52. Nicholas DiSabatino says:

Bette Davis is at her most “Bette Davis” in All About Eve. It’s a fantastic script with a stellar cast.

  53. Erin McCluskey says:

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message. I am excited to see All About Eve because I have heard how classic the film is and would love the experience to see it on the big screen! 🙂

  54. John McGroarty says:

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message. Having just recently seen “An Affair to Remember” at the last event, I can safely say I am excited to continue to see movies that have genuine character and feeling in them of that caliber. Can safely say they don’t make ’em like that anymore!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

There’s nothing like seeing the classics on the Big Screen, the way they were meant to be seen 🙂 Thanks for entering and Good Luck!

  55. Sara Stewart says:

WHY didn’t I see this before! All About Eve is one of THE best movies starring Bette Davis. Her portrayal of an actress trying to come to terms with the fact she is aging and exactly HOW older women are considered to be past their prime and therefore not worth writing a good part for, is incredible. That and her own self-doubt at loving a younger man, fearing her friends will also believe she has nothing left to give, is heart wrenching. Anne Baxter did an amazing job as the back stabbing protege and George Sanders proving his equal to her in every way.

  56. Kay De says:

The last time I saw this film on a screen larger than my Television, was in College, when I had a “Women in Film” class and this one represented the decade. It’s a CLASSIC. I would love to see it again, on an even larger – theater Screen.
My favorite scene is when Bette Davis, as Margo says to Karen:
    MARGO
Let’s not fumble for excuses, not here and now with my hair down. At
best, let’s say I’ve been oversensitive to… well, to the fact that she’s so young – so
feminine and helpless. To so many things I want to be for Bill…
    funny business, a woman’s career.
The things you drop on your way up the ladder, so you can move faster.
You forget you’ll need them again when you go back to being a woman.
That’s one career all females have in common – whether we like it or
not – being a woman. Sooner or later we’ve all got to
work at it, no matter what other careers we’ve had or wanted… and,
in the last analysis, nothing is any good unless you can look up
just before dinner or turns around in bed – and there he is. Without
that, you’re not woman. You’re something with a French provincial
office or a book full of clippings – but you’re not a woman…
(she smiles at Karen) … slow curtain. The end.

  57. Annmarie Gatti says:

Entering on behalf of Mitchell: I love the wardrobe..

  58. Corinne Curcio says:

I love the brilliant, witty, scathing, insightful script, the direction, Bette Davis’ bravura performance and her chemistry with Gary Merrill as well as the whole ensemble’s flawless acting.

  59. Helen L. says:

I’ve heard so much about this movie and have never seen it on the big screen.

  60. I have not seen this movie, however, I’ve been watching the Classic Movie series thus far, and thoroughly enjoying all.

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  61. Angie Sharp says:

The movie is timeless. I was amazed that the movie moved me so much. The performances were stellar. Bette Davis was the BOMB.
