139 Responses to The Outer Limits Season One (1963-64) DVD/Blu-Ray Giveaway (now thru April 7)

  1. Billy Slobin says:

I want to win the “The Outer Limits Season One” DVD/Blu-Ray for many reasons. 1. Because it takes me back to a time when TV was so innovative and new. 2. Because of the innumerable guest stars that show up in the episodes portraying different roles. 3.The intro portion is so iconic that I love hearing it!!!
Thanks so much! I love this blog!
    Keep up the great work!

  2. Bruce Baldwin says:

I admire good television writing. The Outer Limits, the Twilight Zone, and One Step Beyond we’re some of th best sci-fi/mystery writing of the genre. I never tire of reviewing those series’ episodes.

  3. John Hall says:

I watched every episode of THE OUTER LIMITS on ABC when it was aired originally . Always loved the series and liked the creature design of each episode. Looking forward to this Kino Lorber release.

  4. Gloria Elizabeth says:

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.
I was in my late teens when The Outer Limits first aired and remember the shivers associated with watching in a dim living room. My most vivid memory is of an episode from, I think, the second season. Intelligent beings animate various non-living objects in an attempt to communicate with humans in an isolated cabin. The creepiness of mounds of tumbleweeds intentionally massing towards the cabin can still make me shudder.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I remember the series vaguely and am very interested in binge watching 🙂 Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck!

  5. Richard Rommeney says:

The Outer Limits is a classic TV Series with great talent behind it. Unfortunately, it hasn’t been broadcast recently and has been difficult to see. What better way to rectify that than to own a personal copy…

  6. Tim says:

I would love to win this set as I have never seen all of them and would love too! I am so overdue for seeing this series!!

  7. Garrett Solomon says:

I haven’t seen this TV show yet, but I have seen its more famous counterpart, The Twilight Zone. That show interested me in the idea of a TV show having a self-contained story in each episode and I think that being able to win a copy of The Outer Limits would please me immensely if it’s as engaging as The Twilight Zone.

  8. Mark PAGAN says:

Gotta verify or bust: the long-held notion that Limits was just a B-grade shadow of Zone..

  9. While I’ve seen most (if not all) of the Twilight Zone episodes, I have only seen a couple of The Outer Limits episodes. I’d like to change that.

By the way, there is no contest link on the message to Tweet. I added the full URL to my Tweet.

  10. Eric Branscum says:

I want to win the Outer Limits box set for a lot of the same reasons as everyone else. The show is awesome, it would save me some money, it feels good to win a contest. But the main reason I want to win this set is because as my children get older I get so excited at the idea of exposing them to not just the things I loved at their age but also to truly great entertainment and Outer Limits unquestionably falls into that category. So by winning this contest, you would be helping nurture two (for now) young fans of all things sci-fi.

    Thanks!
    Eric

  11. Chris Teel says:

Would love to win this for 3 reasons: 1. I’ve never seen an episode but I’ve heard about the show and it sounds intriguing; 2. It debuted the year I was born; 3. Kino-Lorber does a great job, the films I’ve gotten in the past from them have been high-quality.

  12. I have great memories of watching with my father on Saturday evenings back in the early 1980s.

  13. Sean Wicks says:

I would love this set because this show is a personal favorite, and I plan to buy it regardless if I win it or not. I also have a gap on my disc shelf that it would fill nicely, so that is a bonus!

  14. Debbie Perry says:

I would like to win this Blu-ray/DVD set because it would make a nice gift for my family, as we all enjoy classic TV.

  15. Ian W. Hill says:

I want to win this set because I want to appreciate Conrad Hall’s photography in the best format possible.

    Thanks.

  16. Emma Stone says:

This Tweet by @LECFro seems to explain my interest.
“Watch the “The Outer Limits” and “The Twilight Zone” and you’ll find the inspiration and origin of many of tv and film storylines”

  17. John Brooks says:

I’ve been a huge fan of sci-fi shows like The Twilight Zone and always wanted to view this series since I’ve never had the chance to watch it before. I’m also a huge fan of more sci-fi TV shows on home video.

  18. Noah Doucet says:

I would like to win this box set because I used to watch this show with my dad when I was young and now he’s a bit up in age I think he’s forgotten about that show for a while now. I’d love to surprise him by watching our favorite show from my childhood together again.

  19. Amber says:

I want to win this give away so I can binge watch the season with my 14year old son and get a chance to re watch them myself. – Also posting here because I do not have a Twitter account. 🙂

  20. Ed Godziszewski says:

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

I would like to win this bluray set so that I can enjoy this classic tv series in all its technical glory. It’s not just that Outer Limits was an imaginative sf series with great casts and good writers, it showcases what good tv used to be–imaginative and moody photography, interesting framing, a training ground/proving ground for the camera staff. What better format than blu ray to fully enjoy this aspect of the show.

    Ed G.

  21. Eric Rot says:

I would love to see these episodes in hi-definition and read the 40 page booklet and hear the commentary tracks by David J. Schow! I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  22. Nicholas Mamatas says:

I want to win this DVD/Blu-Ray in order to blow the mind of my four-year-old son the way my mind was blown when I first found The Outer Limits on TV when I was a kid.

The show has stayed with me for over forty years, and inspired my interest in both science and science fiction. (I now work in science fiction publishing professionally.) It was frightening, thoughtful, amazingly well-acted for the era, and thrillingly photographed with a whole palette of grays. Quality programming like this is hard to find these days.

  23. David Walker says:

I do not have a twitter account so I am posting here to enter but cannot retweet the message. I first saw the Outer Limits when it first aired and I was in the second grade and I loved it. The monsters were so original and quite frankly scared my brother. The music, acting and filming was all top notch.
Luckily I collected the bubble gum cards because it was not until the 1980’s did I see it televised again and was able to video tape it. The reason I want the blue-ray is because it was put on film and this would allow me to see it in it’s orginal sharpeness instead of the grainy fuzzy image of television.
I’ve never tired of watching it because of it’s total originality, writing and craftsmanship and love of doing it.
    Thanks,David Walker

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Wow, I didn’t know they had bubble gum cards. That’s really cool 🙂 Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck!

  24. I want to win the Outer Limits box set for the chance to watch them together with my kids and introduce the next generation to the art of the previous. A bit like how I used to watch them with my dad, when we discovered a surprise marathon when found through channels.

  25. Craig Stevens says:

I love this show, but am too broke to afford to buy it. I don’t have a Twitter account, but want to enter the contest, so I’m doing that here. Thank You for the opportunity.

  26. David Hollingsworth says:

I would love to win this set because it reminds me of how great television used to be. Back then, TV was smart, intelligent, and relevant to the many issues of society. Also, this series was a great opportunity to see some of your favorite screen stars playing against type in many interesting ways.

  27. Matt Cade says:

With every update that Tim Lucas has given his followers on this amazing set my expectations have grown and grown until I am now officially ready to burst. Fingers crossed!

  28. Thomas J. Pederson says:

I would very much like to win a DVD set of this wonderful series because I have been a lifelong fan of the show, I feel that it is one of the finest television series ever made, and because I am of limited means it would be a great opportunity to realize my dream of owning this series in its very best and most complete edition.

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

    Many thanks and best regards,
    Thomas J. Pederson

  29. The Outer Limits was a show that went far beyond the “Monster of the Week” format, taking some bold risks and giving some younger actors a good start, often with veteran actors making the transition from film to TV. An excellent showcase of writing, acting, and direction. Who wouldn’t want to own that?

  30. Ed Polgardy says:

I really want to win the “The Outer Limits Season One” DVD/Blu-
Ray because… of all the television science fiction and fantasy anthology shows from that time, it scared me and fascinated me the most. Its fantastic writing and terrific execution, including some of the most beautiful black-and-white cinematography ever found in a TV series, hooked me and wouldn’t let go. It also reminds me of the bond I had with my grandmother, which was cemented by our common love of Science Fiction. She introduced me to the Outter Limits along with many other classic horror and Science Fiction TV series, including Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, and Thriller. Now I would like to be able to show her how wonderful these shows look in this day and age of high def presentations on Blu-ray.

  31. Paul Austin says:

I would love to have this set. Growing up I used to watch The Outer Limits all the time. My fondest memories are of watching them late night Sundays (around midnight—how fun is that?). The series always featured beautiful, lush cinematography and I cannot wait to see it on bluray fully restored. It should be stunning. I cannot wait. Twilight Zone gets all the praise but the Outler Limits is just as deserving of it. I love the ‘bear of the week’. It would make a welcome addition to my home.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Paul, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  32. Brian Burkart says:

I want to win the Outer Limits box set because I want to revisit the series with the best possible picture quality and sound. Every review I’ve read says that this set looks fantastic. Plus listening to the audio commentaries is a great way to increase my knowledge on this classic series .

  33. Bruce burtner says:

(I do not have a twitter account but will post here & on Facebook)
    Outer limits.
    What can I tell you
    • Joseph stephano was a brilliant man.
    • Fifty plus years later we still write about, talk about & enthuse over the OUTER LIMITS! Why is that ? Because it was phenomenal!
    • Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner, jimmy doohan, (all star trek pedestrians ) were involved in THE OUTER LIMITS!
    • Robert Duvall, Martin Sheen , Robert Culp & many more felt OUTER LIMITS was worthy of their time
    • Harlan freaking Ellison !!! Two episodes he wrote
    • black and shite enhanced this series … did not lessen it
    • although the TWILIGHT ZONE is and was excellent, the OUTER LIKITS stands toe to toe with it
    • Martin landau (academy award winner !) was in two of the OUTER LIMITS BEST EPISODES! And he is always a go to when you mention said Tv series

There are so many reasons to tout this great show but in summation
It was about expanding the mind of myself, who at 4 years old and till present day , have never not loved this program.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Wow, you have a lot of great facts here! I only vaguely remember the show as a kid, and I can’t wait to see this set as well! Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  34. Paul Zdanowicz says:

Because Zanti Misfits in HD with a Tum Lucas commentary track

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Paul, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  35. Kris Goosby says:

Reason I would love to win this blu-ray set is cause I along with others grew up watching this classic show and wouldn’t mind having it in my collection

  36. David Siskin says:

Why do I want to win this DVD/Blu-ray Set?

I am just the right age so that the Outer Limits was the hub of my monster world! Between this and Famous Monsters, I became a monster junkie.

Favorite Episode – The Zanti Misfits! Hands down!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi David, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  37. Scott A says:

The Outer Limits was a very influential show for me growing up (I actually had a personalized WOLF 359 License Plate on my first car). I’m super excited to see my favorite episode, The Hundred Days of the Dragon, in HD at last.

  38. Ray Greenberg says:

I want to win the new DVD release because I currently have the MGM DVD version, with its unreliable two-sided DVD discs, and I would also like some expert commentary to go along with my episodes.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Ray, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  39. Ted Haycraft says:

I very much want to own this set (on Blu-ray) due to it was a TV series that scared the pee out of me when I was a kid!!! The opening title sequence alone freaked me out!!! Then when I re-visited the series when I was older I totally appreciated what an artistic and smart series it was and still is – easily one of my all-time favorite shows!!!

  40. Tom Luca says:

Simply because I love these television classics anthologies like The Twilight Zone, and The Ray Bradbury Theatre! Now could I please have my DVD/Blue ray? Thank You

  41. Jim Williamson says:

I was one of the very first viewers of The Outer Limits, having seen the first episode in its first broadcast in 1963 at the age of six. (I remember showing my babysitter the drawing I made of the Galaxy Being and her guessing it was of a boy with Measles – she wasn’t a science fiction fan, evidently.) I would love to see these episodes again the in the highest quality possible.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Jim, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Got your comment with your twitter handle… Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  42. Reed Hall says:

(I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.) I want to win this Blu-ray set because I have been a fan of THE OUTER LIMITS since I was six years old. Watched it devotedly during its initial prime time broadcast on ABC. Caught it regularly thereafter in syndicated reruns, which alas seemed to grow rarer as I grew up, eventually almost disappearing. In the early days of cable TV, discovered it was playing weekly late at night on WOR-TV, so talked a friend who had cable into letting me visit weekly at the appointed hour, trusty VHS VCR in hand, to record the complete run. First (and last) article I ever sold as a writer to a national magazine (the long defunct “Video Review”) was a review of the series, including a complete episode guide. Bought the original MGM DVD sets. Bought the GNP Crescendo and the La-La Land Records soundtrack releases. Figured out how to play Harry Lubin’s theme on a cheap theremin. So the prospect now of owning (possibly winning) this Blu-ray release is tantalizing indeed!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I remember it vaguely as a kid and it always intrigued me… Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  43. Glenn Harcourt says:

The Outer Limits was a brilliant science fiction anthology series: a form now sadly lost to shows (in every genre) that run and run and run until they’re well past their sell–by date. It was also a week-by-week seminar in the crafting of black-and-white TV: a small screen version, much extended, of Val Lewton’s amazing series of supernatural thrillers. It demonstrated how a great story can be told with an economy of means, provided that the tellers were artists of superior talent — and the actors, although many were just starting out, gave themselves over to the projects without reservation. Although “Demon with a Glass Hand” is my favorite episode (and my vote for best sci-fi on TV — ever) just listing the highlights would take up all the available space. THE OUTER LIMITS SHOWED ME A NEW WORLD — a whole wonderful series of new worlds — AND MADE ME A FAN. And not just a “fan” of sci-fi (I was already that thanks to Andre Norton and Robert Heinlein and Ray Bradbury) but someone for whom science fiction all at once offerred a viable alternative for articulating serious issues in an utterly captivating way. Despite my (much later) Ph.D. in Art History, the show became so firmly rooted in my cultural consciousness that I use it as an intellectual touchstone even today (along, for example, with my beloved ‘seventies dystopias). And it’s still entertaining as hell and just simply a pure joy to watch. WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT — and one, in our current ciltural clmate, unlikely to be repeated any rime in the foreseeable future.

  44. Akira Fitton says:

I want to win the Outer Limits DVD/Blu-ray Set because – in my opinion, it is the very best Science Fiction series ever on television. I look forward to seeing each episode again in a clarity that I have never experienced before. I love this series!

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  45. I have a degree in television– TV is my career and my passion, and I’ve made it my goal to know about and watch as much of the vast history of TV as I can (I also keep a blog of shows I watch). Winning this would bring me a new entry to my viewing library. The Twilight Zone is one of my favorite shows, and I would love to see anything else that’s as special and groundbreaking as that is.

  46. Logan Grant says:

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message. Despite being an anthology series junkie, i have surprisingly never seen this show and i can’t think of a better way to experience it for the first time than by getting this boxset.

  47. I would like to win this set because I’m a big fan of Joseph Stefano and this show was never available to me in syndication and I have only seen a few from the VHS release decades ago. @CraigLGOOH

  48. Shawn Francis says:

Because I grew up on this show, no, I’m not that old, I saw it in re-runs in the 70s when I was small and loved it!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Shawn, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  49. Mark Lungo says:

The original Outer Limits is my favorite series of all time, and I’d love to see the episodes in remastered high definition and hear all the commentaries.

  50. Joe Maverick says:

I want to win the blu-ray set because I will never forget how the “control voice” intro to the show freaked us out when we were kids in the early seventies (watching reruns) because we thought that they were actually taking control of our TV set!

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  51. mike miller says:

I remember watching this show as a kid and some episodes freaking me out. I still love
watching the show today whenever I can catch it on TV. Would love to be ableto watch it whenever I wanted.

  52. Vickie Gleason says:

This looks great! I don’t recall getting this show growing up because we were very rural and only got a few channels. I did love The Twilight Zone, however, and this looks to equally fascinating and entertaining. So that’s what I would love to win this Set! My husband and I both enjoy these retro series. Thanks!
    Vickie

  53. Laurie says:

I’d love to win the DVD version of the Outer Limits box set! I’ve heard about a certain episode many times from my husband who watched it as a kid…one of the Gabor sisters was in it, he thinks it was Zsa Zsa. I’ve always wanted to watch it myself. Thanks for the opportunity!

  54. I would love to win this contest because I have always wanted to get into The Outer Limits (I love The Twilight Zone and Night Gallery) and this would give me the perfect chance to do just that.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi James, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  55. John Davis says:

I want to win the Outer Limits Season One set because it pioneered science fiction on early television in a way that no other show even approached. Even feature films did not dare to cover the stories and themes this show did. It also began the process of elevating science fiction out of the dank basement of storytelling genres to put it on a level with its peers in public estimation. I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  56. Joris van Laarhoven says:

“There is nothing wrong with your television set.” Although I have hitherto never seen an episode from THE OUTER LIMITS, that phrase alone holds tremendous promise for me. I love THE TWILIGHT ZONE (I already own that Blu-ray boxset), and I am a sucker for science-fiction and mystery novels and films. Even just mysterious *titles*, like THE THIRD MAN, THE SEVENTH VICTIM and FORBIDDEN PLANET; are pretty much enough to make me want to watch them.

I recently became a father and I am planning to show my daughter THE TWILIGHT ZONE at an early age, to have her experience that thought-provoking entertainment at an earlier age than I got to (thanks to Blu-ray!). THE OUTER LIMITS would (I suspect, but I have to check first!) make a great addition to that.

I want to stress that the happiness of her childhood is in your hands.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

That’s a wonderful reason… but I can’t seem to find your tweet anywhere. Can you please either confirm that you tweeted or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks 🙂

  57. Sara Stewart says:

This show is SO iconic, it used stories to showcase the problems going on in the world at the time and helped peak children’s interests in science and space. Even though people today scoff at the special effects, they were all done by hand and it takes a special talent to be able to film something this way (without the aid of CG). I used to watch reruns when I was little, they usually had them on during the summer, late at night, and I am hard pressed to choose between this show and The Twilight Zone. Both were so incredible.

  58. Karen says:

So many fine actors, terrific writing and three little words that still bring a chill to me: “The Zanti Misfits”. Plus I love the intro. Coming from that generation, I remember always having to adjust vertical and horizontal hold on my set LOL.

  59. Shawn Moore says:

Being a child of the early 1960s, and part of the Universal monster revival, both The Outer Limits & The Twilight Zone were the favorite shows of us monster kids. It would be wonderful to revisit those memories via this BluRay (and subsequent release of season #2).

  60. Rich Blatt says:

I want to win the Blu-ray DVDs because The quality of today’s television does not have the quality of the ’60s television. I enjoyed watching the original series when I was a child. I would be honored to win the contest.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Rich, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  61. Ronald Oliver says:

I would like to win the “The Outer Limits Season One” DVD/Blu-ray, because I love this classic series! I have great memories getting to watch reruns of the series when I was a kid. As such, I was never able to get to see every episode in the series, but the one’s I did get to see were always great fun! I’m definitely a fan of classic sci-fi! Thanks!

  62. David Deddo says:

I want to win The Outer Limits on Blu-Ray for several reasons. It’s been years since I’ve seen any, and what few I have were fantastic! I’m excited to see how good these will look on Blu-Ray. The extras are very, very exciting!

  63. bill norris says:

i love this show and would love to see them again.

  64. I want to win because that is definitely my type of show to watch!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Debra, I’m having a difficult time matching your blog comment with your tweet. Could you please confirm that you tweeted (and if so what twitter handle) or let me know if you don’t have a twitter account. Thanks!

  65. The Outer Limits is one of my all-time favorite television programs. So many great memories of being glued to the TV as a child, to watch re-runs, and being freaked out every time. The show was consistently inventive, thoughtful and atmospheric.

I want to win this blu-ray set because The Outer Limits is one of the great science fiction TV shows, one of the few that really captures the feeling of reading great literary sci-fi, even as gives the audience all sorts of cool monsters

I would love to win the outer limits blue ray set, for i have been thrilled and chilled by this show since i saw it on its original run on tv. the acting, writing and photography were great, and still hold up, Thank you , the late Joseph Stefano and Leslie Stevens, the creators/writers and Harlan Ellison for some of the best episodes. And yes ,the bears(monsters ) were great as i was only 9.

I’ve really grown to appreciate the artistry of the series since reading david j. schow’s great book on the series (thanks dave! and city library!) i would love to to hear the commentaries and have the booklet as david’s book is out of print. if i dont’ win i hope Ed godziszewski does because of the great books and dvd commentaries he’s done for godzilla and japanes fantasy/science fiction films (great work Ed! thanks!)

thank you Kino and CMH for this chance to win such a classic, mind bending anthology series, and to Kino for finally releasing a great quality, blue ray release.

    THE BEST.
    Period.
No other program of its genre captivated with its narrative intro, the chilling music of Dominic Frontiere, the stark black and white photography of Conrad Hall, the iconic alien creations of Projects Unlimited, the direction of Gerd Oswald and others, all of which created classic nightmarish television.

    (cannot tweet message)

  81. Christian Ramos says:

I would LOVE to win this because it is one of my dads fave shows. He watched this as a kid along with the Twilight Zone and the re-make of The Outer Limits back in the early 2000s so this would be a great thing to watch along with him. He loves the sci-fi/paranormal stuff!

  82. Joan O’Malley says:

I watched the original show when I was 9-11 years old. I would live to revisit the shows as an adult.

  83. Marquita says:

This set would be such an addition to my Classic movies collection! I was only a young kid sitting in front of the tv watching and of course hypnotized by the shows.Such great storylines to thrill!!!!

  84. Mark Crepps says:

Beautiful, horrific, provocative, surreal memories of a childhood waiting impatiently each week for transmission of the next Outer Limits episode on the family’s black-and-white portable television. The kitchen would soon be echoing with unworldly sounds and the electric phosphorus flicker from the TV tube and I would be transported to a world of glorious sci-fi, horror and inescapable melodrama. And now to hold in my hands the HD collection of Season One episodes from my home entertainment savior of childhood fantasies, KINO LORBER… horrendously, beautifully priceless!

I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  85. I love THE OUTER LIMITS. I grew up watching it each week. My computer error message is the great Vic Perrin intoning, “There is nothing wrong with your television set…”, and my cell phone ringtone is, “We are controlling transmission…”.
This show was part of what fed my early love for science fiction and fantasy.
“We return control of your blog, until next time…”

  86. Jim Beasley says:

I have never thought of myself as a big sci-fi fan until recently. But one of my favorite films is “The Forbidden Planet” with Leslie Nielsen & Walter Pidgeon. I just binge watched Star Trek: The Next Generation. Would love to see “The Outer Limits”.

  87. Michael Kyes says:

I would like to have this series because it was a favorite of mine growing up as a kid

  90. Susan Stiers says:

“It Crawled Out of the Woodwork” aired on December 9, 1963 (1st season). I was 6 years old, watching it with my older brother, and being completely freaked out by whatever it was that cleaning lady kept trying to suck up in her vacuum cleaner! We never forgot that episode. It’s probably the cause of my aversion to housework. After all, who wants to vacuum up a blob of crud when there is even a small chance that it could turn into a monstrous alien mass of energy that would kill you, probably because it doesn’t want to live in a dirty vacuum bag forever? It’s pretty clear that one episode left a big impression on me. The entire series did that with its eerie music and imaginative stories over the years. Obviously, I’d be thrilled to win Season 1! 🙂

  91. Stuart Cook says:

I would love to win this set so I can again enjoy THE OUTER LIMITS. I remember watching the original run on ABC as a kid, and I have a teenage son who would love to see this in uncut remastered episodes! I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  92. Because I didn’t win the first time I entered!

  93. Pete Salisbury says:

I would really like to win THE OUTER LIMITS DVD’s because I will never be able to afford to buy them at least not until someone donates their set to my local Goodwill store.

  94. Kathy Buxton Volz says:

I’d like to win the set because I saw every Outer Limits as a young and impressionable kid! I even had the collector cards. Among the memorable/terrifying episodes (without googling, just a 50 plus-plus year old memory): a guy looks through binoculars and his eyes become huge. Freaked me out. But of course it was one of the cards I got in the pack. Outer Limits then led to Twilight Zone, Night Gallery and a lifelong love of Sci-fi and Classic horror movies.

  95. Stephanie says:

I would love to win this so I can watch it with my mom who I know would love to rewatch this as she grew up with it.

  96. Gary Howard says:

I was nine when this show first came on and it scared the hell out of me. I was glued to the tube waiting for the monster to appear and what the message at the end would be.
I have never forgotten this show in all of my years and watch it often as a way to reminisce about the actors I witnessed in their sometimes inaugural appearance and in other times just adding to their long lists of memorable roles that would make many of them household names in the future. Many times has television tried to produce a show to rival this one but I don’t think they have ever done so. From the into to the monster / monsters to the music to the lessons taught I can say many times imatated but never surpassed.
