  1. Erika C. says:

When the very popular Cabbage Patch dolls came out years ago, my mom somehow managed to get one for my sister and I. It was a very memorable Christmas.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I remember Cabbage Patch dolls and all the craziness trying to buy them! Short supply and very popular (understatement!)

  2. Lori says:

I received Donny and Marie dolls from Santa one year!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh that’s a great gift, really something special… I didn’t even know that they made those dolls, isn’t it amazing how ‘Santa’ knows everything 🙂

  3. Bernie W says:

The most memorable gift that I ever received was an Optimus Prime Electric Toothbrush. I really liked Transformers as a child.

  4. KittyPride says:

My best present was a pair of ice skates, we had frozen ponds around so I was able to go skating all the time, I was so thrilled to have gotten what I asked for, I was beaming with a huge grin

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Isn’t it wonderful to have such fabulous childhood memories! Those fond ‘little things’ that aren’t so ‘little’ after all 🙂

  5. Victoria Rendon says:

The most surprising gift I got was a Radiant Rose style collector Barbie doll that I was not allowed to open and play with.

  6. Dorothy Winnett says:

The best present Santa left me was a Huckleberry Hound bouncy , (on springs ) I rode that day & night & I was totally uninterested in any other toy’s. My parents filmed it (I’m really aging myself now) & I still watch it with such fond memories. (of course transferred to vhs then to dvd)

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Isn’t it so amazing how these wonderful memories stay with us to treasure always…

      • Dorothy Winnett says:

Christmas memories are wonderful. presents yes, but the Christmas trees with the wonderful pine scent, Christmas decorations, special cookies & other goodies, such a magical time.

  7. Frances Winnett says:

A Red Flyer wagon. I pulled that little wagon all over town putting all the rocks & other treasures I would find in it, then when I was tried I put my knee in it & used it as a scooter .

  8. Joan O'Malley says:

My best present ever was a child size kitchen and stove. The burners “glowed” when you turned the knobs. I did a lot of cooking with that set. Even though it was made of cardboard it was pretty cool to me and I loved it.

  9. Maddy says:

My parents couldn’t afford to get me and my sisters Cabbage Patch Dolls, but not wanting us to go without; we each got a Pumpkin Patch Kid one Christmas. Even though they were knock-offs, we loved them like the real things. The dolls are still played with to this day by my nieces! Thanks for having such a great contest!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh that’s a wonderful story, made me smile. And I’m so glad the dolls have been handed down to your nieces, makes them even more special! Thanks so much for sharing 🙂

  10. Thom Rafferty says:

Most memorable was probably a Batmobile (powered by pedals) that was ideal for a 6 year old crime fighter. It came with a cape and mask.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh WOW! That was such a cool gift! I used to love watching Batman on TV when I was a kid 🙂 actually still love watching it now too!

  11. Julia Burcham-Hawks says:

Cabbage Patch Kid from the 80’s. Still have it, in mint condition. A toy dog that you wind up and it chased a ball. One year, I got what they called pumpkin patch kids,a boy and a girl. I still have them today. 🙂

  12. Lisa Colangelo says:

A sail boat. I had to “share” with my brother, but how cool is it to be 13 yo and own your OWN boat?

  13. Christy CrumP says:

My first real stereo! I loved my records so much. I use to play them on a raggedy Ann record player till I got stereo with speakers!
    Best Christmas:)

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

      I hear you! That’s a perfect gift!!!
