The TCM Classic Film Tour NYC Ticket Giveaway
We’re giving away THREE PAIRS of Tickets in Nov and Dec!

“New York, New York, It’s a Wonderful Town”

We are VERY EXCITED to announce our longterm partnership with NYC’s On Location Tours, the Concierge Choice Award Winner for Sightseeing and Tours, and the operator of the fabulous TCM Classic Film Tour of NYC!

To kick things off, we have a very special contest giveaway to announce today – CMH will be giving away THREE PAIRS of Tickets to hop on board the TCM Classic Film Tour.  So, if you live in NYC, or if you’re planning to visit NYC over the next few months, please feel free to enter. Our lucky winners will be able to pick the day of their preferred tour and work directly with On Location Tours to book it.

I took the tour a few years ago, and loved it (and honestly can’t wait to try it again). If you’d like to read my review, click here, as it’ll explain much more in depth about what the tour covers – and it does cover a lot. PS: I love the fact that they show you video clips on the bus of the exact sites you’re visiting and/or passing by.

In a nutshell, you’ll traverse the city, seeing over 60 filming locations and stopping for photo opps at some very iconic places, including Holly Golightly’s brownstone (Breakfast at Tiffany’s), the gothic Dakota apartment building (Rosemary’s Baby), the famous Seven Year Itch subway grate (which I walked over hundreds of times and never even knew it was there!), and, if you’re a fan of the ‘newer’ classics — the “I’ll have what she’s having” deli aka Zabar’s (from When Harry Met Sally).

  1. Kassidy Jacobs says:

I want to win tickets because I have never been to New York and I have been planning on going for a long time! The city is so beautiful and full of history. I would like to take my dad because he loves classic movies as well. I would feel like I was immersed in the movies that I love so much!
I do not have a Twitter account, so I am posting here to enter but cannot tweet the message.

  2. Tracy Sharpe says:

I studied film history back in college and its something that I am so passionate about! I love the history behind all of these old films and how films were made way back when. Everything about film history excites me so much! Ive always wanted to go on a TCM tour so bad and really take in all the history behind iconic films that I can never get enough of. I have seen so many classic movies and read all about them. I would go bananas if I saw some sort of history in person behind an iconic film. I am even excited entering this! I love film history and reading about the early days of movies and how hard it was to film something like a sneeze or a moving train. I would love to go on a TCM tour!

  3. Amy Condit says:

I live in L.A., and am not entering the contest as I’m not going to be in Manhattan any time soon, but I wanted to say how you whetted my appetite for the tour when I make it back East someday! I’d love to go to Holly Golightly’s brownstone and see the Seven Year Itch subway grating! I’ll have to try the L.A. Version of the TCM tour one of these days. Thanks for the interesting post, Annmarie!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Oh, thanks for commenting here (and reading my post)… I haven’t had the chance yet to take the LA version of the tour yet, but hopefully someday soon 🙂 Have a great Thanksgiving!

  4. Shelia Worthey says:

    BECAUSE I’VE NEVER BEEN!!!
Never seemed to get around to taking the non-rev flights up there, but would love to go now before it’s too late…meaning I age out!!! LOL And this would be a perfect way to visit. Love reading Linda Fairstein mysteries historically integrating different locales such as theater, library, museum, or Central Park. Then. of course, there are ALL the lovely movies from the very beginning of film! What’s NOT to see? What a wonderful giveaway! Thanks as always, TCM!

  5. Miranda Heitzman says:

I want to win the TCM Classic Film Tour tickets because I’ve never been to New York and this is on my list of things I have to do if I get out there. I would have a place to stay on Long Island anytime I want, so this really would work out so perfectly. I would love to see where all of these wonderful films were made. I would love the opportunity to get out to NYC to visit, separate from this tour, the apartment building that Joan Crawford lived in until the end of her life. This would be the trip of a lifetime!

  6. Corinne Curcio says:

I live in NYC, love NYC, and love classic films. I would be excited to see all the locations for movies I’ve watched over the years. It’s always exciting to walk by areas in Manhattan – and Brooklyn, when there’s filming for movies and TV, but to see the spots that have become “immortalized” on celluloid would be an awesome experience.

  7. Sherry Doak says:

I have only been to NYC once, & was only there for 1 night. My husband mentioned the other day that he would have liked to see the Marilyn Monroe grate but we didn’t get to. This prize would make a great Christmas gift to surprise him with.

  8. Liliana Radwanski says:

I Love all those Movies. I would Love to Visit Tiffany’s where Holly Golightly had her coffee and donut and see her Brownstone. I want to go to the Dakota. And Go to Zabar’s. so many classics were filmed in the City. On the Town also comes to mind. I live near New York and would Love to take this classic movie tour.

  9. Sarah Packard says:

I’d like to win this because I live in NYC, yet never get around to going on any of these cool tours, and as a film fan (and lover of the classics), I bet this would be super educational and fun! And then I can show off all my knowledge to my tourist friends, too! 🙂

  10. Chris says:

As a classic film fan, I’m quite happy and proud that my teenage daughter Lily has recently become an Audrey Hepburn fan…although she can’t make up her mind if Charade or Roman Holiday is her favorite… {happy sigh}. Lily studies all kinds of dance and hopes to one day be a professional dancer. Going to New York with Dear Old Dad would be quite a thrill for her – especially seeing locations from Breakfast at Tiffany’s. And seeing Radio City Music Hall? That would buy me a lot of supercool Dad points. Lily is also one of 6 kids – so our budget isn’t conducive to “just buying tickets.” However, if we won, we would make it work…and it would sure make her siblings (and Mom) jealous.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Such a great reason 🙂 Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck!

      • Chris says:

Thanks! And thanks for running contests like this…and you’re give a gift, get a gift. I think it’s really cool how you cross-promote fellow classic film websites, writers and (of course) TCM. It’s nice to know there are so many old movie fans out there!

  11. Tammy Buckley says:

I want to win these tickets so my sister and I can enjoy our love of classic film, history, trivia and the most exciting city in the world; NYC!

  12. anthony iwasczyszyn says:

I’m entering the contest to win tickets and take a friend were both huge classic film fans and one of us doesn’t have a lot of time left and I think it’d be something wed both love to do while we’re both still here.

  13. Laurie says:

This sounds like such an amazing experience! I’d love to win…I’d love to go to NY again and as a classic movie fan, I’d be in heaven.

  14. Annmarie Gatti says:

entering on behalf of Vanity Rex, whose post would not publish…

  15. RABBI JOSEPH KOLAKOWSKI says:

I am a big fan of classic movies, and NYC is not too far away, so would not be too hard for me to go. I enjoy going to conventions etc.

  16. Joseph Guglielmelli says:

I want to win the tickets because I want to see my hometown with fresh eyes. I want to connect the city streets that are part of my daily life to the two dimensional city of the movies and have those street pop and dazzle no matter how mundane they really are. I also want to walk down the street after the tour and pass, say Holly Golightly’s brownstone, and smile to myself, becoming part of the movie.

  17. Lindsay Reddick says:

I’m a life long movie fanatic and winning the tickets would put me that much closer to completing a little goal of mine to travel and visit different locations featured in some of my absolute favorite movies.

  18. Sarah Vazquez says:

I’d love to win these tickets specifically for my father! I first discovered my love of classic film through what became our weekend TCM binges as a kid. New York City is also the first place he called home after moving to the States in the early 70’s so it’s a sentimental place for my whole family. He’s getting ready to retire and move down to Florida in the new year, so being able to combine our love of classic film and NYC into one bon voyage experience would be a dream and the perfect way to send him off♥️
