  1. Dominique says:

Loved her perseverance and strength, on and off screen, whatever she went through she survived. Also loved that as told by Juanita Moore, she wouldn’t allow her to “stand off” from her in a scene, to her, Juanita was just as important in the scene as she was.

  2. Joan O'Malley says:

I loved when she danced with Fred Astaire or Gene Kelly.

  3. Ruth Barnhart says:

That face! They don’t make ’em like that anymore! Loved her in Gilda, but I loved all her films, really. Total definition of “Movie Star”

  4. Robert Nico says:

Rita Hayward was a beautiful actress and one of the superstars of her time. I love her style,

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Robert, do you have a twitter account, if so please tweet the message to enter… thanks so much! If not, I’ll be posting a different contest in a few days where you can enter on this blog… 🙂

  5. Jill Hendrix says:

What I love most about Rita is the way she lit up a movie screen! She was just magic and not to mention her acting ability…. The way she portrayed Gilda was sultry yet so vulnerable.

Everyone thinks of Marilyn Monroe as the ultimate sex symbol, but I’ve always thought Margarita “Rita Hayworth” Cansino as the ultimate in sex appeal

  6. SusanLM says:

I love watching Rita move. Her long arms, legs and fingers made her graceful as well as sexy. Rita Hayworth was so vulnerable on and off screen. The fact that she could dance with Fred Astair (much better than Ginger Rogers, in my opinion), marry a mega-ego like Orson Wells and yet be so humble about her abilities shows great strength of character and heart. Being labeled a sex symbol seemed foreign to her. Yet she have so much pleasure to so many who just liked to look at her. I would have liked to meet her in person after all the glamour and movie-making was done. Even with her memories fading in her last years, I think she was a star at heart.

  7. Victoria Rendon says:

I love how she was able to adapt to any role. I think when most people think of her, they think of the beautiful musical Rita and they forget about the smart cunning Rita.

  8. bill norris says:

Those looks….and acting chops are just incredible. love the roles she took and she made the most of each one.

  9. Cole says:

What I love most about Rita Hayworth is the sexy yet innocent enegy she couldn’t help but exude.
