  1. Sara Stewart says:

Clara Bow was able to communicate every emotion without a word. Her eyes always told the story

  2. Joan O'Malley says:

Love Gary Cooper and his ability to play a man who is down and out but still has his pride and principles. Plus he’s easy on the eyes!

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Yes, and especially easy on the eyes. I was absolutely struck by how ‘beautiful’ he was in those silent films! 🙂 Thanks for entering and Good Luck.

  3. Bharat Reddy Dhanireddy says:

Gary Cooper is one of the first worldwide stars and it is enjoyable to watch his films.

  4. heather clarke says:

I love Clara Bow because she was a realistic actress in a time where a lot of silent actors were over the top. She could express SO much with her eyes. Her natural talent shone through in every role.

  5. Casey Guise says:

Gary Cooper is an unassuming star; he’s the Arrow Collar man; he’s a cowboy but he’s just as natural in a tuxedo or a uniform; he’s understated – but you can’t help but watch him on screen. There is always more to his performance than what meets the eye – and yet he’s a simple-talking guy. You ask yourself: Is he even performing? It never seems like he to is pulling the wool over your eyes. Watching him in a film is watching a hero..

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

One of my favorites, and I appreciate him even more now, since I’ve seen him in some Silents. Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  6. David Hollingsworth says:

I loved Gary Cooper, because he didn’t think too much of himself. He didn’t care about being a sex symbol; he cared about his performances and doing the best he could to deliver characters that you could identify with. When he delivered the ‘luckiest man’ speech in “The Pride of the Yankees”, you really felt inspired by that. It didn’t hurt that there was an integrity behind those piercing blue eyes of his.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

I’ve always liked Gary Cooper, but I even found a greater appreciation for him after I started seeing some of his silent films — his star quality was apparent from the start… Thanks for entering and Good Luck 🙂

  7. Shelia says:

I don’t think I’m out of line for entering here as well as the Twitter one, but if I am, Annmarie, just slap me outta the running!!
As commented earlier I haven’t seen this film, nor Clara Bow, but from all the posts it seems I’m missing something. So it would be great to get my own copy.
As far as Gary Cooper…What a hunk!! The ultimate for me is High Noon. I always wanted to be a cowgirl, and he epitomized the Western Man for me. Even-tempered, decisive, in control, principled, which he did perfectly. So it would be great to see him in his earlier years.

    • Annmarie Gatti says:

Hi Sheila, oh you are not out of line at all!!! I encourage everyone to enter both contests so that they have more chances to win… Thanks so much for entering and Good Luck 🙂
