Welsh actor who formed a drama company for the firm in Wales where he worked, then turned professional and quickly gained radio and theatrical assignments. Came to films through Ealing Studios and played canny Welshmen, kindly policemen, and well-meaning advisers throughout the 1950s. A bright and lively part of any film.
