Coral Browne appeared in over 30 film and TV roles during her 50+ year screen career, most notably as Vera Charles in Auntie Mame (1958), Meg in The Roman Spring of Mrs Stone (1961), Mercy Croft in The Killing of Sister George, and Lady Claire in The Ruling Class (1972). During the filming of 1973's Theatre of Blood she met husband-to-be Vincent Price. Browne and Price married in 1974 and remained married until Browne's death in 1991. (Price was Browne's second husband; she was married to her first husband, Philip Pearman, until his death in 1964.)
