Legendary actor, Broderick Crawford, was born William Broderick Crawford on Dec 9, 1911 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Crawford died at the age of 74 on Apr 26, 1986 in Rancho Mirage, CA and was laid to rest in Ferndale Cemetery in Johnstown, Fulton County, NY.

MINI BIO:

Big, beefy, powerful American actor, the son of Helen Broderick. Began as Damon Runyon-style gangsters and serio-comic western villains, progressing to corrupt politicians and businessman. His career suffered several gradual declines, but he always managed to come back into the limelight. Academy Award for All the King's Men (1949). Very popular in the TV series Highway Patrol. Died following a series of strokes.
