Rosalind Ivan Overview:

Character actress, Rosalind Ivan, was born on Nov 27, 1880 in London, England. Ivan died at the age of 78 on Apr 6, 1959 in New York City, NY .

MINI BIO:

Though in real life a bright, amusing, charming, and multi-talented person, Rosalind Ivan's interesting facial features clearly doomed her to playing shrikes and shrews in drama, which she did to great effect. Dubbed Ivan the Terrible by some after her performance as the termagant wife of Charles Laughton in "The Suspect", she returned to the stage in the late 1940s, and to a career as an acting coach. She died from heart failure.
