Character actor, Jason Robards Sr., was born Jason Nelson Robards on Dec 31, 1892 in Hillsdale, MI. Robards Sr. died at the age of 70 on Apr 4, 1963 in Sherman Oaks, CA and was laid to rest in Forest Lawn (Hollywood Hills) Cemetery in Los Angeles, CA.

Jason Robards Sr. was stiff, dark-haired, and melancholy-looking American actor. He had a successful theatrical career before coming to Hollywood to act as one of the silent screens leading men. With the advent of sound Robards soon slipped into character roles, making dozens for RKO in the 1940s as figures of some authority in films like Riffraff Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, and The Farmer's Daughter. He died from a heart attack in 1963.
